Week 33 ~ Baby Durian!
How many new fruits and veggies have you heard about following this blog? I've never even tried some of these :-P
How far along? 33 weeks and WOW has my belly really POPPED! I think it doubled in size this week! It was literally Wednesday last week when I was marveling over the fact that my belly hadn't gotten much bigger for a while and when I woke up Thursday morning it had doubled in size :-P
Weight gain? I don't know exactly where I'm at, but we had an ultrasound last Thursday at the doctor's office to confirm baby's position, and we had an ultrasound this week to teach some high school kids about the field of ultrasound and baby had gained exactly half of a pound in exactly one week! He's doing precisely what he's supposed to :-)

Maternity clothes? Yes of course!
Stretch marks? Shockingly still none, but they seem likely soon with how fast this belly is growing.
Sleep: I'm sleeping great! It's harder to get out of bed in the morning... like literally physically harder, but not because I didn't get enough sleep :-P
Best moment this week: This was actually a stellar week- I had 4 best moments!
1) Maternity Photoshoot: It looked like we were going to get rained out and have to reschedule the maternity shoot again, but being the gambling women that we are, we decided to give it a try anyway! We figured worst case we could take some neat shots in the rain and schedule another shoot for another day. Luckily the sky cleared just above the Botanical Gardens and it was BEAUTIFUL! The ominous dark clouds scared other people away, so we had almost the whole place to ourselves. The shoot was a total blast and my photographer did such a gorgeous job! I've seen a few sneak-peeks, but I can't wait to see all of the other photos.
2) Ultrasound: I agreed to model for a friend who is an ultrasound tech because she was doing presentation about ultrasound to a group of high school students. It was so much fun to see these kids getting to scan a baby for the first time. Some of the kids were just as memorized by baby's little heartbeat, sucking, breathing, and blinking as I was! My tech friend was able to get a few 3D images, but they weren't as good as I'd hoped.
3) MBFF (Mom Best Friend Forever): A friend of mine is also due with her first little one, also a baby boy, just the day after I'm due! It has been a lot of fun to have someone to chat with who is in the same place that I am. Another friend of mine snapped some fun photos of us together with our baby bumps!
4) Child Care: My friend who works at the daycare center that we are on the waiting list for said that a bunch of baby's turn 1 year old in December so they will move out of the infant room! We might have a shot at getting in in December or January, which would be a very short wait!

Movement: There's still the same amount of amniotic fluid and baby keeps getting bigger, so there's a lot less cushion and his movements are much stronger! I just love feeling him <3 This morning he had the hiccups and I made Hubbs come feel them... they must have been intense hiccups because it was actually his little butt moving :-P
Food cravings: I know I say this every week, but I'm trying to eat EXTRA healthy because baby is growing so much right now- even if that's balanced out with an ice cream bar or two every day ;-)
Anything making you queasy or sick: Feeling wonderful! I'm so happy my energy hasn't dipped like I thought it might.
Labor signs: Nope.
Symptoms: I can tell baby is going through another growth spurt because I can feel some stretching on the underside of my belly. It only hurts sometimes when I'm walking, but then I slow down and feel just fine.
Belly button in or out? Inny!
Wedding rings on or off? On, but I've taken it off a couple of times during the day this week... so it probably won't last much longer. It has also been warmer the past few days, so I wonder if that has contributed to the slight bit of puffiness.
Happy or moody most of the time: Super happy! Seeing a glimpse of baby's adorable little face in the ultrasound makes me SO excited to meet him. I have projects lined out for the upcoming weeks and I think everything should be ready mid-August. That should be perfect timing because work starts to get busy at that time and I'll probably need to relax on the weekends. I hope we get someone hired for my position soon so that I have time to train them before baby arrives!
Looking forward to: Hubbs and I have a nursing class coming up this week- that should be interesting! We also have an interview scheduled with a lady in our neighborhood who is willing to watch baby while we are on the waiting list to get into daycare at my work.
