Week 22 ~ Baby Papaya!
How far along? 22 weeks! It seems silly, but I JUST realized that after I passed the half-way mark, that means that the weeks remaining are fewer than the weeks accomplished! Only 18 weeks left!!!
Total weight gain: I managed to double my combined weight gain from weeks 9-18 in just the last 4 weeks! I've read 1-2 pounds is typical for the second trimester; I gained 1 pound each week, so at least I'm "on track". Total weight gain so far: 7.5 pounds - not too bad! Sadly, I have seen this number on the scale before, but I think the weight gain might be a struggle when I start to break into new territory :-\ So far I have managed a healthy mind-set and I'm trying to continue on that path ;-)
Maternity clothes? I wear dresses almost every day! This is SO strange to me as I have rarely worn dresses in the past. They are just so comfortable and flattering! Dresses are also great now that it's warming up - I don't want to wear my black slacks and sweaters that I was confined to all winter long!
Stretch marks? Nope nope! I was feeling great about this, but I read that they can pop up at any time - even the very end! It aint over till the fat lady sings LOL
Sleep: I have been sleeping pretty well! I haven't been sleeping on my side like I'm supposed to, but my new pillow is due to arrive tomorrow.
Best moment this week: My In-Laws sent baby his first gifts! They sent "Three Little Kittens," which was one of Hubbs and his sister's favorites and happens to have been one of my brother and my favorites, too! The thoughtful package also included an adorable Halloween outfit :-)
Miss anything? I feel pretty great being pregnant and beer is the only thing I miss at all really!
Movement: I'm pretty sure baby maintains a regular daily kick-boxing routine around 5:30pm!
Food cravings: Not really.... trying to kick the sugar habit, but sugar is always delicious - not sure it counts as a "craving" ;-)
Anything making you queasy or sick: I
am still getting heartburn often, but I've discovered aloe vera is a miracle cure!
Symptoms: I have started to experience some posterior pelvic soreness. I guess those bones are moving around so they can cause some pain. I sit on a yoga ball chair at work, so I think that helps relieve any pressure and I have some yoga moves that I do regularly to help massage out the soreness. I was reading that this pain typically happens around 5-7 months and I was thinking, "oh no, it's happening much earlier for me!" but then I realized that I'm actually at 5.5 months, so it's typical. I know, I know, I read too much :-P I'm trying to listen to my body and assume that it's doing whatever is normal and best for me... but I can't resist a little research ;-)
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Kinda moody this week, but I think I've got my attitude back in check :-D
Looking forward to: Garage sale season! Garage sales will be getting started this weekend and I'm hoping to regularly swing by a few each weekend throughout the summer and score awesome baby stuff for cheap prices!
