Week 21 ~ Baby Pomegranate!

How far along? 21 weeks!

Total weight gain: We shall see next week at my doctor’s appointment!

Maternity clothes? I found some really great basic items in Anchorage AND my Stitch Fix arrived and added some pizazz to my new maternity wardrobe :-D

Stretch marks? Not yet! There was a day when I looked in the mirror and saw a mark on the underside of my tummy and I briefly had the thought “okay, maybe this isn’t so fun anymore,” but then thank goodness it was just a temporary mark from the pants I was wearing!  *WHEW* I know the stretch mark days will come, but I don’t feel big enough for that yet!

Sleep: I was trying to adapt to using an extra pillow to remind me to sleep on my side… but it usually ended up more on Hubbs side of the bed. He doesn’t appreciate being pushed out of the king sized bed by me, the cats… and now a pillow :-P So, I ordered a pregnancy pillow and maybe that will do the trick!

Best moment this week: I’m loving all his little movements… I’m already able to identify a bit of a pattern when he’s most active! He must be like his dad because he prefers to sleep in the morning and he gets really active in the evening, when I finally put my feet up for the day.

Miss anything? I feel pretty great being pregnant and beer is the only thing I miss at all really!

Movement: Yup! And I feel like his little taps have maybe even gotten a bit stronger! It’s really crazy to think about what it will be like in August, when there’s a full-sized baby moving around in there!

Food cravings: I had the stomach flu last weekend and I have craved sugar ever since… but I wonder if that’s my body trying to make up for a weekend of missed calories?

Anything making you queasy or sick: I am getting heartburn relatively frequently, so I need to adjust my food choices and portions…. The eternal battle of my life ;-)

Gender: Boy, boy, all boy!

Labor signs: No.

Symptoms: Nope!

Belly button in or out? In!

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty happy this week!

Looking forward to: All of the exciting walks baby and I will get to go on together next summer!
