Week 38 ~ Baby Winter Melon!

How far along? 38 weeks! It doesn't seem possible that baby could arrive any day now, and seems unbelievable that he could be here in two weeks... I really feel like the only possibility is that he could be here in 4 weeks- but really that's the very latest scenario! I have a few things I'd like to wrap up at work in the 2 weeks, so it would be nice if he came right at 40 weeks :-)

Weight-gain: Up 2.5 pounds this week- 30.5 pounds total!

Stretch marks? Yeah, the 7 little squiggles are still there, plus a new little dot-looking thing. I'm sure all of the ice cream I have been eating lately hasn't helped the cause. 

Sleep: Sleeping great! I've waken a few times with a little hip pain, but nothing a change in position didn't solve. I've also discovered a new strategy for getting out of bed that isn't as cumbersome. If I'm able to swing my legs over first the that weight moving downward makes it easier to push my upper-body up!

Best moment this week: People are SO generous! I'm still receiving many gifts for baby from people I never would have guessed and sometimes even from people I've never met!


Food cravings: I have been a little crazy with he sweet tooth lately- need to get that back in check!

Labor signs: I've had a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions this week, and while that's not exactly a sign of labor, some of my friends said they had more of them prior to labor. Oh and there's a super moon this weekend and a lot of people swear that had a major impact on births :-P

Symptoms: Hubbs was worried that he's getting sick because he was cold the other day and I wasn't - that NEVER happens! I have been so hot lately though, and I'm very appreciative of this colder fall weather :-)

Belly button in or out? Barely in!

Wedding ring on or off? Off and now I don't think it will go on at all.

Happy or moody most of the time: Oh man, I was GRUMPY and irritable this week. I hope that feeling goes away soon- it just isn't me. 

Looking forward to: I'm looking forward to wrapping things up at work and just being totally ready for baby to arrive, but after that I'll be bored sitting around waiting and I don't want that either... exactly 40 weeks- come on baby!
