Bringing Up Baby!

I happened upon this fascinating show called "Bringing Up Baby".  This show compares three different childcare methods for babies: the Truby King method (a strict, routine-based method ), the Benjamin Spock approach (an approach based on parents' instincts), and the Continuum Concept (in which babies are in constant contact with a parent at all times). Each method is advocated and administered by a nanny for two families each. (Wikipedia Link)  

Each of the 4 episodes is only 50 minutes long- I highly recommend watching them for FREE on You Tube. It gives you so much to think about!

I have to admit that as easy as it is to get convinced that one method is far superior, but I can't help but wonder.... there are so many factors in nature and nurture.... Maybe the only thing that is important is that parents choose a way that is most manageable for them ;-)
